During these wild pandemic times, our daughters and I have been drawing, colouring and collaging up a storm. Each morning, we roll out newsprint to cover our kitchen table. Throughout the day, this paper catches our ideas, doodles and farm plans (and paint spills, pencil shavings and snack crumbs). We've also been enjoying the act of mailing cards, letters and drawings to our buddies and family locally and across the globe, tapping into our interconnected humanity in otherwise isolating times.
This has inspired me to create a series of one-of-a-kind cards, for those who'd like to reach out to their loved ones, neighbours or essential service providers in a soulful, old-fashion way.
Each card is approximately 5" x 7" with a matching envelope. Makes a beautiful, unique gesture and can be framed as a piece of art. You can choose between Pea Shoot or Abstract, and the rest requires a trust that the right card will arrive in your hands! Photos show some examples of possibilities, but mostly offer a feel for my style, materials and approach. This special series will be available for a limited time.
MIXED MEDIA: artist grade papers, fragments of printmaking (wood cut, etching, lithography), stitching.
Each card is blank inside and comes with a matching envelope.
