Welcome an authentic, human touch into your kitchen with this trivet. The hand forged lines embrace the Japanese aesthetic of wabi-sabi (or imperfection) making this piece a unique, playful addition to any home.
Design inspired by our daughter's chalkboard drawing and forged by Ruben out of mild steel. Each trivet is finished with pure beeswax to preserve the grey metal color. Trivets are made to order and will each have their own nuances.
Each trivet is made up of 5 cross bars that are welded on the underside to 2 base bars. The 1/2" round bar has been heated in the forge and hammered at the anvil, adding life to the lines. Lines vary from 6.5 to 10" long.
When not protecting your counter or table tops from hot pots, this functional everyday object can be hung on the kitchen wall to enjoy as art.
Makes a unique housewarming or wedding gift!
If you would like your Yula Trivet personalized, select the "number of characters" that fits your text and type your desired engraving into the "personalization for engraving" box above. We use 1/4" tall numbers and capital letters. "/", "-", "&", "+", "." and a heart shape are also options. Have your bowl personalized with initials, a date,"6 YRS", GPS coordinates or any combination of text. The text will be stamped into the upper horizontal plane of crossbars when trivet is laying flat.
