2023 Calendar!

Introducing a project that is near and dear to my heart!  A fellow artist and dear friend, Meghan Stewart, and I are launching our first hand-drawn calendar! We finally received our calendar proof and are ready to take pre-orders for a single small batch printing. If you’d like to purchase one of our 2023 calendars, now is your chance! Please place your order before this coming Sunday November 13th at noon AST.

The calendar consists of 12 prints of our original drawings inspired by the local landscape of Nova Scotia/Mi'kma'ki. A celebration of the natural world through the seasons. The calendar folds to 8.5x11 inches and is printed locally in Dartmouth, NS on heavy gloss paper. The pages are stapled together and there is a hole for hanging. We have not included any holidays to allow you to fill in your own meaningful dates and celebrations. The full and new moon are marked each month. The calendar is $40 (plus shipping within Canada and the US).

To order, please email meghanstewart@protonmail.com with the number of calendars you would like as well as your mailing address for shipping or local pick-up location preference (we will be offering local pick-up in Tatamagouche, Truro and Scotsburn area).  Meg will get back to you confirming details and from there, payment can be made by e-transfer.  Calendars will be ready for pick-up and mailing by early December.

Shipping within Canada is $6 for one or two calendars and $10 for three or more ( does not include tracking or insurance).  If you're interested in shipping to the US, please contact Meg for a quote.

This collaboration grew out of a deep reverence for the earth and a desire to carveout sacred space amidst the routines of daily life. Together, we committed to our own personal drawing practices, sharing with each other along the way. From creativity and reciprocity, this calendar was born. The process has been an honouring of friendship, personal growth, motherhood and the artist within. Our drawings reveal the cycle of the seasons unfurling in rural Nova Scotia/Mi’kma’ki.

Meghan Stewart's artistic expression is rooted in ritual: drawing from the wells of her senses to create and live from a place of presence and intention. Inspired by the colours, movement and textures of the natural world, she values cultivating connection to place and self as a means of igniting creativity. She is fascinated by the relationship between beauty and function as well as the natural cycles of life and decay. Meghan graduated from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in 2006 and currently explores a variety of mediums including drawing, textiles, voice and movement. She lives in rural Nova Scotia/Mi'kma'ki with her family, homeschooling her daughters, teaching and practicing qigong and beholding the wild with awe.

Raina McDonald weaves a tapestry of creative collaboration, motherhood, food growing, seed saving, yoga teaching and community. She is an interdisciplinary artist with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from NSCAD University (Halifax, NS). She and her husband run their business R&R Handmade out of their shop and studio in the back woods of Nova Scotia/Mi’kma’ki. Raina’s current inspirations include her two vibrant daughters, living in regenerative ways with the seasons and the alchemy of lessons offered by nature. Drawing is a balm for her soul: sketching from the natural ecosystem around her is a gateway into a slower space of presence and nuance, an intimate seeing and feeling of essence through mark making on the page.
